Coyote C-Series Review: The Best Mid-Tier Built-In in 2026?
Coyote's C-Series 36 is the best mid-tier built-in we've tested at this price point. Three months of weekly cooking later, here's what holds up and what to know before you buy.
What's outstanding: the Infinity burners. Coyote builds them differently — internal flame jets distribute fuel from inside the burner tube outward, which produces an almost shockingly even flame pattern. We never saw a cold spot on the cooking surface.
What's outstanding: the cabinet lines. Coyote uses 304 throughout and welds the seams cleanly. The hood is fully double-walled and retains heat well even in cold weather (we tested in 30°F).
Worth knowing: the rotisserie infrared back burner is good, not great. It reaches operating temp quickly but doesn't hold quite as evenly as the Hestan or DCS equivalents. For ribs and chicken, it's fine. For a 14-lb prime rib, you'll want a temperature probe.
Worth knowing: cleanup. Coyote's grease tray drops out the front. Convenient, but the drip pan is smaller than we'd like for a high-volume cook. Empty it after every cook or it can overflow.
Verdict: at $3,799 (NG), the Coyote C-Series 36 is genuinely competitive with grills $1,500+ more expensive. The single best mid-tier built-in we can recommend in 2026.
