- Day-to-day cook: grill + side burner + fridge + counter space

- Entertainer: add a second cooking surface (pizza oven or smoker), kegerator, ice maker

- Family: include a warming drawer and a beverage center near the seating zone

Layout principles:

- Keep the work triangle (grill / sink / fridge) under 8 feet

- Put waste storage adjacent to the grill

- Set the prep zone between the grill and refrigerator, not on the far side

Utilities:

- Gas: spec the line BEFORE pouring concrete

- Power: 110V outlets near the grill (rotisserie, lights) and 220V if you have an ice maker

- Water: a drain line is required for the sink; size accordingly
