What American Made Grills is (and isn't)
AMG launched in 2018 as a value-tier sub-brand for Summerset dealers who needed a lower-price American-made option to compete with imported grills. Same firebox construction as Summerset Sizzler, but with a different burner design (single-line tube vs Sizzler's cast-U), and a hood that uses lighter-gauge stainless (14ga vs Sizzler 12ga). Materially real but built to a cost target.
The AMG lineup
Estate 30/36/42" ($2,800-$4,200): The entry line. 3-5 burner configurations, no infrared, hood-mounted temp gauge, no LED knobs. Positioned to undercut imported premium grills (Napoleon Prestige, KitchenAid) with a real American-made 304 stainless build at a comparable price.
