Alfresco Grills: What the LXE and ALXE Lines Actually Cost
Updated September 2026: Alfresco is the third major American-made premium outdoor grill brand — alongside Hestan and Lynx. All three are hand-built in Southern California, all three use 304 or 316 stainless, all three sit at $8K-$15K street. What Alfresco does differently: wall-mount grill option (nobody else offers it), integrated side burner power ratings that beat Hestan, and a Deluxe cart that includes side burners as standard, not upcharge.
What Alfresco actually is
Alfresco Open Air Culinary Products (Commerce, CA) launched in 2004 as a competitor to Lynx (also Commerce, CA — same city, same manufacturing tier). Every Alfresco grill uses 304-grade stainless with polished welds and hand-finished edges. The LXE line is the volume seller; the newer ALXE line was introduced in 2020 as the premium upgrade with double-lined hood, sealed knob compartments, and integrated LED lighting throughout.
Alfresco LXE vs ALXE
LXE 30/36/42/56" ($8,000-$12,500): Alfresco's mid-premium line. 3-7 burner configurations, integrated rotisserie burner standard, halogen hood lighting, single-line hood. Sweet spot at the 42" size for typical outdoor kitchen builds.
ALXE 30/36/42/56" ($10,500-$15,000): Alfresco's flagship. Double-lined hood (much better heat retention on windy patios), LED knob backlighting, integrated LED interior + hood lighting, sealed knob compartments (moisture doesn't get in). ~$2,500 upcharge over LXE for the same size.
Where Alfresco wins vs Hestan or Lynx
Wall-mount grill option: Alfresco's LXE-VZ and LXE-VS are wall-mounted grills — nobody else in this bracket makes one. Solves the small-patio-with-privacy-fence-but-no-cabinet-space problem.
Side burner wattage: Alfresco's integrated side burner outputs 27,500 BTU vs Hestan's 22,500. Meaningful if you actually cook side dishes on the grill's side burner (paella pans, stock reduction).
Deluxe cart includes side burners: Alfresco's Deluxe cart ships with dual side burners standard. Hestan Deluxe upcharges for double side burner add-on (~$800).
Where Hestan or Lynx wins
Hestan's 316 marine-grade stainless option (Alfresco is 304 only) matters for coastal builds within 5 miles of salt air. Hestan's 20+ knob color options exceed Alfresco's 6-color program. Lynx's Smart Grill wifi integration is category-leading (Alfresco has none). If you're spending $12K+ on a grill and any of these differentiators matter, spend it there.
