The Story
Firegear Outdoors is the burner-system company sitting underneath a lot of the outdoor gas fire features sold today. Their catalog starts with the burner — brass Pro Series rings, H-burners, linear T-burners, snowflake patterns — and builds up from there into complete fire pit kits, fire tables, and linear outdoor fireplaces.
What makes Firegear's lineup different is how much of it is sold as a system. The SRW and Paver kits ship with a matched pan, burner, and ignition module ready to drop into a stone enclosure. The Sanctuary line arrives as a finished fire table — enclosure, burner, and electronics in one SKU. The Kalea Bay fireplaces are factory-sealed LED-illuminated outdoor fireplaces that need no chimney or venting.
Across the catalog, the ignition options are the throughline: Match Light for the simplest build, Safety Pilot Spark for most residential installs, and the AWS all-weather electronic ignition module for commercial and premium residential settings. What's the difference between Match Light, Safety Pilot Spark, and AWS ignition?
Match Light is the simplest — the user lights the burner with a long match or lighter. Safety Pilot Spark adds a thermocouple-protected pilot flame and a push-button spark igniter; the pilot shuts off the gas if the flame goes out, standard for residential. AWS (All-Weather System) is Firegear's electronic ignition module — flame-sensing, auto-relight, remote-control compatible, and rated for commercial and exposed outdoor installs. Pick based on how the piece will be used, not price.
What is a Firegear SRW or Paver fire pit kit?
SRW (Segmental Retaining Wall) and Paver kits are drop-in fire pit systems designed to seat inside a stone-paver enclosure. You get the stainless pan, the matched brass burner, the ignition module, and the gas plumbing fittings as a system. The enclosure is built on-site from standard pavers; Firegear's kit handles everything that goes inside it.
What is the Sanctuary line?
Sanctuary is Firegear's pre-assembled fire-table line — the enclosure, pan, burner, and electronics ship as a finished piece. Rectangular, round, and square silhouettes in Pro Series (brass burner) and Standard Series (stainless burner) variants. Natural gas and propane models available.
What is Kalea Bay?
Kalea Bay is Firegear's LED-illuminated outdoor linear fireplace line, 36 to 72 inches wide. Factory-sealed, no chimney or venting required, LED accent lighting integrated into the frame. Natural gas and propane variants.
Does Firegear sell complete fire pits or just the burner systems?
Both. The core catalog is burners, pans, and burner-system kits that integrate with a hardscape enclosure. The Sanctuary and Kalea Bay lines are complete finished products that ship ready to connect to gas. SRW/Paver kits sit in between — complete inside, you supply the stone outside.
Can I convert a Firegear natural-gas product to propane?
Most Firegear burner systems have matched NG and LP SKUs — specify at order. For in-field conversion, Firegear sells LP Conversion Kits (e.g., for the MT and other burner systems) that include the correct orifice and regulator parts. Check the product page or ask us before converting a specific unit.
